21st Annual Banquet Success

There was laughter, tears, and love for life at the annual fundraising banquet. Mike Williams had the crowd laughing while Kathleen Ray inspired everyone that they could be a Trudy Schmidt Award winner too. The room was bursting at the seams and our guests exceeded our expectations with their generosity.

Thank you to all of you who gave your time and treasures to save babies our community!  Corona Life Services is truly your ministry to those in need.

Behind the Facade
Deep Wounds and Big Hurdles

Client E came to CLS for a pregnancy test and although she did not plan to be pregnant, she seemed happy. But E has had a rough life. Abused as a child, raped as a young adult and encountering many financial setbacks, E has recently found herself homeless and has lost her parental rights to her first child.

Client E is currently employed, attending parenting classes weekly and attending church. She is hoping to move in with her mother, be reconciled with her child and be the best mom she can be. She views this time as her “second chance” in life.

Praying for the Undecided
Saving Babies with Love

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, has opened an office in Corona offering limited services two days a week. Even in this short period of time, there has been an increase of calls seeking post-abortion care.

CLS has post card sized flyers with information regarding our free services, location, hours and contact information available for those called to pray at a clinic. Stop by during open hours to pick up a stack today!
Also, please remember that the battle for life is won by offering truth in a loving and compassionate manner. Please pray for not only for the women entering the clinic but also for the staff of the clinic, leadership of our city, and the population at large.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.                                                                                                                 1 John 5:14

Welcoming Stephanie!
Meet Stephanie Hall. She has just joined to Corona Life team as the Client Services Manager. She is responsible for many of the programs that directly impact our clients including the Earn While You Learn Program, Recovery Programs and Sexual Integrity Programs.
Stephanie attends Crossroads Church and has volunteered as a client advocate at Corona Life Services for 9 years. Her passion for youth drove her to create Vertical Love Ministries, an organization that provided mountaintop weekends for young women to learn about sexual integrity in the context of God’s love. Stephanie brings a wealth of knowledge and a calm disposition for which every client can benefit.

Pain So Deep
Aftermath of abortion

It was early morning, well before the clinic opened, when the phone rang. There was a lot of background noise with a crying girl on the other end. She went on to say that she recently had an abortion and was having nightmares of her baby crying that she couldn’t get out of her head. Unfortunately, this isn’t a rare occurrence. Often women will experience many PTSD like symptoms and may even become depressed enough to attempt suicide.

If you are aware of somebody who has experienced an abortion or have children who are aware, please let them know that CLS has a private recovery program available to them free of charge.  Client advocates are trained to walk through the healing journey alongside them. CLS also offers a recovery program for sexual assault – another traumatic experience that affects so many today.

Parenting 2.0
Building Families Better
Clients are offered the opportunity to join the Earn While You Learn Program as they prepare for and become new moms. In this program, they learn valuable parenting and life skills while being mentored in a one-on-one setting. Clients earn points that they use to shop in the baby boutique (that many of you generously supply.)

CLS is pleased to announce that because of your support, we are able to provide an even better learning experience through digital curriculum. Not only will clients receive the most updated curriculum seamlessly, but it will also open up more opportunities for the parenting program to adapt to client needs. The new curriculum paired with the exceptional mentors facilitating the program will be a powerful tool in training up new moms to succeed at parenting.

Save the Date – Walk for Life
October 5, 2019
Every year Corona Life Services hosts a Walk for Life to bring awareness to the community that life is precious from the earliest of moments and to raise necessary funds to keep the clinic doors open as often as possible.

Stay tuned for more specific details about the event! If you would like to serve as a volunteer at the walk for life or create a team for your church or organization, please contact Christi Bush at cbush@coronalife.org.

Men’s Fraternity
Godly Manhood Equips Dads
Client R has been meeting with a men’s mentor at CLS for several weeks. He had lost custody of his 2 children and his life was in a bad place. He is now remarried and is going to be a father again.  Committed to not making the same mistakes, he is working to learn all he can to be a good dad this time around.  His mentor is by his side, training biblical principles on his role as a husband, father and spiritual leader of his home.
Keep praying for R as he grows in the Lord and prepares for his new child. Also pray that he will earn the chance to have a more active role in his older children’s lives too.
